John Ayres

John Austen and I were very sad to receive the following email yesterday:

Good morning,

Some very sad news - the Father of our Company, Past Master Emeritus John Ayres, died yesterday at St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey. Our thoughts go to his family, especially daughter Sally, who is a Liveryman of our Company.

As soon as I have details of funeral arrangements I will communicate with you further.

Warm regards,

Michael A F Bizley

Acting Clerk of the Company
Clerk Emeritus, Honorary Court Assistant & Almoner
Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners

(The 97th City of London Livery Company)

John Ayres, who many of you will know from his days at Brapack and Xola Hygiene, was one of the most well-liked members of the UK cleaning industry and he was always interesting and good fun to be around. Our thoughts are with Sally and the rest of the family.
