Canvassing efforts, press work and the promotional campaign for CMS 2013 Berlin - Cleaning.Management.Services. have been launched on an international scale, with application forms already sent out to exhibitors. From 24th to 27th September 2013, the international trade fair for cleaning equipment, facility management and services, and the supporting programme of conference events will take place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

During the coming months the project team of CMS will be represented at several industry events. Messe Berlin's network of foreign representatives is targeting individual countries in Europe and abroad with its canvassing campaign for CMS 2013.

CMS 2013 will provide a comprehensive overview of the cleaning industry's range of products and services. All the leading manufacturers of cleaning machines and equipment as well as cleaning, care and disinfectant products are expected to be in the German capital. Exhibitors who register by 1st October 2012 will receive an Early Bird discount on the regular stand fee.

CMS 2013 is organised by Messe Berlin GmbH. The following professional organisations are sponsors of the event: the National Guild Association of the Building Cleaning Trade (BIV), Bonn, the VDMA Cleaning Systems Trade Association, Frankfurt/Main, and the Industrial Association for Hygiene and Surface Protection (IHO), Frankfurt/Main. Following the success of CMS 2011 industry representatives' expectations for the next event are especially high.

Reports Dieter Kuhnert, National Guild Master of the Building Cleaning Trade:

"Expectations are already high and we are all eager, even though a year of preparations for CMS 2013 lie ahead of us. The 2011 trade fair was the most successful CMS to date. Naturally, this encourages us not to rest on our laurels but to build on that success.

"As we continue to develop CMS, the National Guild Association of the Building Cleaning Trade is keen to attract even more international exhibitors and we have formulated our specific aims accordingly. We cordially invite exhibitors and visitors from around Europe to find out what our industry has to offer and also about Germany and Berlin as a venue for trade fairs.

Markus Asch, Chairman of the Cleaning Systems Trade Association in the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) believes it's not all about what's on the exhibition floor either: "By concentrating on topics of special concern to individual audiences CMS has become Europe's leading exhibition for the cleaning industry in 2013," he says. "The presentations are closely coordinated with manufacturers and customers and are specifically tailored to the market's needs. This will undoubtedly be key to making the show even more attractive at international level.

"The success of CMS is the result of providers from the various industries coordinating and striking a balance to satisfy the cleaning sector's every requirement. Nowhere else do such well-thought out structures make visiting a fair so worthwhile. Augmented by an international congress CMS will no doubt be Europe's leading trade fair for the industry in 2013."

Josef Haentjes, Division Chairman and member of the Board of the IHO adds: "From our point of view CMS 2013 is this year's leading trade fair for the cleaning industry in Europe.

"The companies belonging to our association will be represented with a wide range of cleaning chemicals and systems in Berlin. This unique concentration of building cleaning products and services combined with an ever-increasing number of international exhibitors and visitors provides trade professionals with an outstanding overview of the market. Furthermore, papers and conferences underline the event's role as the industry's definitive international communication platform. We look forward to CMS 2013."

The presentations at CMS 2013 will cover the entire market for commercial cleaning technology. The Cleaning section will include all types of cleaning machines, installations and systems for cleaning the interior and exterior of buildings (facades) and outdoor areas. Other exhibits will include laundry systems and dry cleaning equipment, industrial cleaning and vehicle cleaning equipment, cleaning devices and materials, accessories for machines and appliances, chemical cleaning agents and care products, hygiene products for the workplace, technical equipment for the workplace, as well as workwear and protective clothing.

The Management section will present solutions for building management, purchase management and area management, for cost planning, cost control, property accounting, staff and contract management, software, solutions for commercial accounting and payroll accounting, as well as software for calculating machine usage.

The Services section exhibits services such as cleaning services, gardening and winter services, caretaker and security services.

Among the various targeted audiences the focus is on attracting trade visitors in a decision-making capacity. These include public sector clients in the market for all kinds of consumables, capital goods and cleaning machines, such as town councils, local authorities and operators of public buildings (airports, railways stations etc.); customers in the market for building cleaning services, i.e. cleaning companies, building services, building management and facilities management providers, as well as representatives of industrial companies.

The latter include representatives of abattoirs, the food industry, automotive industry, pharmaceutical industry and shipbuilding industry; members of the healthcare industry such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, social facilities; persons representing the hotel industry, catering enterprises such as hotels, restaurants, industrial kitchens and canteens; members of the building and real estate industry such as planners, architects, construction companies, property management offices.

An impressive 354 exhibitors from 20 countries attended CMS 2011, breaking the previous record. Around 15,500 trade visitors from 60 countries went along to find out about the products and services which occupied a display area covering 24,700 square metres.
