Cintas free 'Got to Go' app identifies and rates clean public washrooms across US

* Cintas-Got-to-Go-app.jpgOf the more than 41.5 million people expected to travel this Memorial Day weekend, 88% of them will travel by car. That's an increase of 4.7 million drivers over last year, which means more traffic on roads and more traffic in roadside washrooms.

To help Memorial Day vacationers in search of clean washrooms this weekend, Cintas is reminding travelers of its free mobile washroom-finder app, 'Got to Go', which allows users to find clean washrooms in their vicinity and enables them to rate the facilities based on cleanliness.

A business with clean washrooms can be a big draw for travelers looking to make a 'pit stop'. In fact, 74% of respondents in a recent survey stated they'd go out of their way to find a clean washroom while on a road trip.

"Whether you're on a road-trip or staycation this travel holiday, why settle for a sub-par public restroom?" asks Jillian Bauer, marketing manager, Cintas. "Got to Go not only helps users find restrooms, but it also asks users to rate restrooms for future visitors."

Since the scheme's launch in February 2018, Got to Go users have visited the app nearly 29,000 times to locate and rate nearby washrooms. Regions with the most active users include California, New York, Texas, Ohio and Illinois.

Within the app, users will see a map showing nearby washrooms differentiated by three colours. Top-rated, clean facilities are indicated with a green icon; low-rated, dirty facilities are indicated with a yellow icon; and unrated facilities are indicted by a blue icon. Users can also view washrooms in a 'list view' which allows them to see nearby facilities sorted by distance.

When clicking on a washroom icon, users will also have ability to view the rating and rate the washroom themselves. Users can rate the condition of the facility (dirty or clean), supply level (low or well-stocked), smell (good or bad) and whether it's open to the public or available to customers only. Users can also get directions to the facility as the app is linked to Google Maps and Apple Maps. Users can also filter the results by location, such as fuel stations and convenience stores; coffee shops and restaurants; retail stores; or government and public buildings.

Got to Go is available for complimentary download in the iPhone App Store or Android's Google Play. For more information:
