Busting gum - Osprey Deepclean cleans the hall's carpets
Sited just inside the show's entrance, Osprey Deepclean's stand was well placed to grab visitors as they came into the hall.
The company's sales manager Gordon McCready took full advantage by demonstrating how well the the GB1 GumBuster machine deals with chewing gum that has been thoughtlessly discarded on the carpets.
Some of the blobs he tackled had clearly been down there for a while and were well and truly ground in, while others seemed fairly fresh. Gordon managed to dispense with each one in under a minute, leaving no trace of gum whatsoever.
"This battery powered machine is revolutionising the industry," he said. "It's the first of its kind in the world and already an innovation award winner. Cordless, simple to use and quiet during use, it busts gum for up to 6 hours a day."
On reflection, we realised that we'd not heard any noise come from the machine at all...
