Cleaner's ammonia and bleach mix gamble clears casino

Hazmat crews were called to the Osage casino in Tulsa, US, on Sunday, following reports of a chemical smell that was allegedly created when cleaners mixed ammonia with bleach. The mix was causing throat irritation to some of those inside the casino, leading to an evacuation of the building.

Nine people were checked for throat irritation but none were taken to hospital, although four people drove themselves to local hospitals or emergency clinics.

Once the smell had dissipated, customers were allowed back inside and the company CEO later confirmed that none of the customers had been injured.
