Deadline for CHSA Bursary is 30th June
The Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association is reminding readers that the deadline for its Bursary applications is looming... 30th June is the cut-off date and those shortlisted will be interviewed in July by a selection panel to be led by David Garcia.
Open to the children of members' employees, the scheme provides three bursaries. Each successful scholar will receive a maximum of £4,500 in three instalments, receiving £1,500 at the start of each academic year or for the first three years if the degree is four years or longer.
Act now to make sure your employees know about the bursary and their eligible children apply. They have to be 18 years or over on 1st September 2017 and commencing their higher education studies this year and are assessed according to need, worthiness, endeavour, and overall performance. Each brings something unique so the field of applicants is incredibly competitive.
With a passion for his subject - Chemical Engineering - and an intent to also study languages at university, Adam Jackson, the son of Helen Jackson who works for Deb, won the inaugural Bursary in 2016. He used the Bursary to buy textbooks and support his studies and is now averaging over 80% in his assignments.
Application forms are available from Linda Belcher, secretary of the CHSA at:
