The first BICSc accredited training organisation opens in the Middle East
MEATAC (The Middle East Academy of Training and Consultancy) opened its doors last year as the first independent facility in Dubai, for all the UAE, where cleaning operatives can gain a BICSc certificate in recognition of cleaning skills.
The training centre, launched in August 2016 was set up to train cleaning operatives in various BICSc skills as well as provide bespoke and customised training programmes for organisations in the area.
The centre is dedicated to raising the standards of cleaning in the country, such as wearing the correct PPE, using the correct colour-coded microfibres to prevent cross-contamination, using efficient machinery and materials and conforming to local health and safety standards.
The MEATAC team of BICScs assessors and trainers have many years of experience organising and delivering a variety of training from within the UAE. The team includes Tommy Taylor, Operations Director, Mohammed Hazath, Lead Training Consultant, and Mohamed Rilah, Training Consultant.
Stan Atkins, Group CEO, BICSc commented; "The team behind MEATAC are extremely committed and passionate about their work. We are looking forward to building our partnership with them further."
UK-based steam cleaning equipment manufacturer Matrix, has also recently approved MEATAC as an Authorised Matrix steam training centre.
