Open day at Hugh Crane (Cleaning Equipment) "a great success"

* HC2.jpgThe team at Hugh Crane (Cleaning Equipment) are basking in the glow of a really successful open day on the last day of September, which, as the pictures show, was very well attended.

"It was great to see so many suppliers and customers at the event," they say. "We were all fed and watered well by Richard and his team at The Fenland Roaster and Dick from The Nene Valley Brewery."

Jim Saunders, Whittlesey Branch Manager, takes up the story: "It was great to see so many familiar faces to celebrate the opening of the new showroom; we really appreciate the efforts that our customers made to attend the event.

"We wanted to showcase the branch and thought that having an open day was a great opportunity to let our customers see the developments and investments that we have made on the site.

"However, as we got closer to the date, it started to grow arms and legs and we ended up with a large number of suppliers exhibiting their products in what became a 'Cleaning Show for the Fens'!

"Customers who attended were really impressed with what we had accomplished in such as short space of time and we are now talking about replicating the event in the future."

"Manufacturers demonstrating their equipment on the day included: * HC1.jpgCommando Pressure Washers, MAC International, Kranzle, Karcher: Nilfisk Blue and Grey line, Numatic, IPC Gansow, G&S Services, Meguiar's, iVO, P Wave, Streamline, Truvox, and Vikan to name a few.

"Clover Chemicals presented two sessions during the day on 'CLP' and the company's new 'Task Based Risk Assessment Tool'. Prochem Europe also did a session on stain removal from fabrics and carpets as well as having some fantastic new air freshening products (non aerosol) on display."

Hugh Crane (Cleaning Equipment)'s own engineering department also demonstrated its Cask Force Brewery range along with hygiene systems, which are specific for the food services industry.

Steve Barclay, MP for North East Cambridgeshire, officially opened the new showroom and spent time talking to customers and suppliers alike during the event, before departing for another appointment at Peterborough Hospital.

The new showroom is at: 148 Station Road, Whittlesey, Peterborough PE7 1UF.
