Ideal Response supports The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army recently took part in Europe's largest disaster training exercise in Dartford, Kent, feeding over 2000 first respondents across a four-day period. Needless to say, the Emergency Response Units that were used to feed the first respondents, required a thorough clean before being fully ready for the next job.
The Disaster Training Exercise began on 29th February and was an excellent opportunity for the London Fire Brigade to practice its 'Urban search & rescue' skills. The exercise was also a great opportunity for emergency services to practice their coordination skills in a very realistic environment.
Some 75 Salvation Army Volunteers were on site to provide pastoral support and care to all the emergency services and personal involved in the exercise.
Ideal Response was approached by the Salvation Army to help clean and restore the two Emergency Response Units used at the disaster training exercise. The Ideal Response team was more than happy to assist and support the Salvation Army and to ensure that the charity's Emergency Units were clean and ready for the next job.
"We're extremely proud to support the Salvation Army and the incredible work that the volunteers undertake, day in day out," reports Pat Nolan, sales and commercial manager, Ideal Group. "It was our pleasure to get the Emergency Units back, ready for the next emergency."
