Timely review wins cleaning contract plus London Living Wage for staff

* Thames.jpgThames Cleaning & Support Services tells us it has managed to implement the London Living Wage without increasing its costs - a move that has helped it win the cleaning & support services contract at Blackstone's newly acquired premises at 160 Queen Victoria Street in London.

The contract will commence 1st January 2016.

"Thames achieved this great award by reviewing and re-engineering all cleaning specifications," reveals Thames managing director Alex Weller. "Our approach resulted in efficiency and cost savings being found, which in part, were then used to introduce the 'London Living Wage'. Our proposal still achieved a significant saving for the client!

"This has resulted in extremely happy cleaning staff, a very happy supplier and a very happy client!"

Thames's approach is clearly working. The company is experiencing growth of 35% per annum and boasts a client retention rate of 95%. It has an annual turnover is £3.5m.

It has ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System accreditations as well as OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety Management System. Other accreditations include Safecontractor, CHAS, SMAS and ContractorPlus.

Clients include Capita Symonds FM, Paramount Pictures and the Holiday Inn.
